One Louder News

June 2008

Hello from the One Louder team. We'll be updating our site on a regular basis to let you know what's happening in the hive, so check back often.

Paul Kelly

Paul has just completed a US/Canadian tour to promote the release of Stolen Apples. In April this year a live DVD, Live Apples, was released in Australia. The DVD was filmed at the Empire Theatre in Toowoomba, QLD and contains live performances of the Stolen Apples material - in its entirety - plus a bonus 16 songs from the back catalogue. As well as a standard single disc edition, Live Apples is available in a limited edition deluxe edition featuring a hard cover 32 page booklet as well as DVD and audio disc. Those of you into quality artwork will appreciate this one (even if we do say so ourselves).

We're also up to the letter "F" in Paul's A To Z free monthly downloads:

"We have five tunes in this months’s batch, featuring the letter F. There seems to be a travelling theme throughout – highways, trucks, angels from the four corners of the world, relocation back to and away from home. Get on board and ride. Or walk. Or fly. If you get lost call 1800 FRIEND. See you all next in the Gloryland of G." - Paul Kelly

Sarah Blasko

Sarah toured extensively during 2007 and is on a well-deserved break - well as much of a break as Sarah can handle. She's been composing the music for The Bell Shakespeare Company's production of Hamlet which opens in June and will play in Sydney and Melbourne. Sarah will also be performing in the show - check The Bell Shakespeare website for details www.bellshakespeare.com.au

Sarah is also writing and planning for her next album. Us One Louder folk have been treated to a few sneak previews as the melodies float underneath the boardroom door. The old piano is getting some much deserved attention.

End Of Fashion

End of Fashion have finished recording their follow up album which now has a title, "Book Of Lies". The songs are currently being mixed by Tim Palmer whose credits include The Cure, U2, Pearl Jam, INXS, Concrete Blonde, Tears For Fears and a swag of others. Book Of Lies will be released in September this year.

In the mean time, End Of Fashion will be performing a series of residencies at the Northcote Social Club in Melbourne (24 June, 1 & 8 July) and the Annandale in Sydney (25 June, 3 & 9 July). Tickets are on sale now from the venues.

The End Of Fashion website is in the process of being revamped but you can check out a glimpse of new artwork and listen to the demo version one of the new tracks "Biscit" .... Go to www.endoffashion.com

End of Fashion are also on Facebook and now have a Twitter profile (which will be updated by us). Twitter has an option to "follow" End Of Fashion and receive updates via txt msg on your mobile. Sounds interesting doesn't it. Check out www.twitter.com
